Comrie is a historic conservation village in a national scenic area along the River Earn. The village occupies a position on the Highland Boundary Fault.

The charming village of Comrie lies on the banks of the River Earn, 25 miles west of Perth. Comrie is in the heart of the scenic West Strathearn region of Perthshire. Nestled between the Glens of Lednock and Artney and with the Scottish Highlands rising to the north Comrie makes the ideal base for exploring Perthshire. In the heart of the village is the “White Church”. Once a place of worship, the building was refurbished and opened as “Comrie Community Centre” in 2000.

Across the road from the church at the corner of Melville Square is a small shop, which was designed by the renowned Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

Guest Reviews

We had a wonderful three-night stay at the Bothy over the New Year period. The location is utterly stunning, with wide-ranging views across the valley, and it’s perfectly placed for exploring the Cairngorms and their beautiful landscapes. The home itself is thoughtfully decorated — we felt very at home from the moment we arrived. We experienced a minor weather-related issue due to the sub-zero temperatures, but Bea and Stuart were extremely helpful and responsive, with great communication throughout. A truly beautiful home in a beautiful part of the country. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Hello Bea & The Team, Thank you so much for sorting out our booking here, it's been absolutely fabulous!! And we will be back...The area is just so beautiful & needs more exploring. Schiehallion Cottage has been such a lovely place to stay as well. Ps we saw the Northern lights- was never expecting to see them in my lifetime, and there was an absolutely amazing display with last weeks solar flares!!! Amazing!!

A lovely cottage in a quiet location, an ideal base to explore the area. Cluny Gardens for the red squirrels was amazing, as was The Hermitage and our special visit to the Enchanted Forest
