The renowned Pitlochry Festival Theatre, affectionately known as the “Theatre in the Hills”, offers an impressive programme of plays, musicals, and cultural events throughout the year. Star of stage and Hollywood A-lister Alan Cumming, is the current Artistic Director. Right next door is the Explorers Garden, opened in 2003. This woodland garden celebrates 300 years of botanical exploration by Scottish plant hunters and features an amphitheatre, art, and a diverse range of rare and exotic plants. Just a short stroll away, visitors can explore the Pitlochry Power Station and Dam, where the iconic salmon ladder allows a fascinating glimpse of fish leaping upstream during spawning season.

We loved our stay at Roneval. Beautiful house and gardens. With everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lovely to see snowdrops in the garden too. Roneval is so convenient for walking along the shore of Loch Faskally to the Dam. Our dog loved this walk so much, we did this walk with her every day.

Lovely place in great location to explore the area. We stayed as a party of 5 (4 adults and a 3 year old) and found the place perfect for our needs. Very clean and neat, and lovely light space. We saw red squirrels, pheasants and lots of wee birds in the garden! Play room in particular was just brilliant - great space for our wee man to play with a great selection of games and DVDs. Very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again in future. Many thanks!

We had a fabulous week in Roneval. A super house and well equipped with everything you'd need. The house is in the perfect location for walking into the centre as well as many other places. We were really lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time outdoors. We certainly hope to return.
