We really enjoyed our time at the Auld Smiddy Cottage. The bedrooms were perfect for our family of 5, and we liked being able to have a fire in the fireplace. It was also really nice to have two bathrooms. We also liked being able to stay in a house that was built in 1860-we loved the character of the home.

Perfection! The Cow Shed is definitely a five-star accommodation with a beautiful pastoral view of mountains and sheep. The cottage itself was immaculate and of very high quality. My husband and I are very picky about cleanliness and peace and quiet, and the Cow Shed was perfect in this regard plus extremely beautiful, comfortable, and cozy. It is a perfect base for spending time in the Perthshire area and for taking longer day trips with the perk of returning to the Cow Shed for a relaxing evening. We were a party of four and rented both Cow Shed and Cow Shed 2 and would return in a heartbeat!

It was our second stay at “The Stables”, but definitely not our last. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and cosy, and everything was prepared for us with so much heart and care. We enjoyed the beautiful landscape and the stunning views surrounding the cottage. Thank you, Clara, for all the passion and care you put into this wonderful place. We hope to be back soon!
