The new year dancing and music on the main street on New year’s day is always fun. Great restaurants and bars near at hand always have a wonderful atmosphere. "

Ruggles Cottage

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ruggles over the New Year period. The house is very cosy in the cold Scottish winter, and plenty of logs and coal were provided so that we could keep the fire going whenever we were at home. The beds were very comfortable and the showers in both bathrooms worked very well. The kitchen was well provisioned for making meals. The location of Ruggles is stunning with some beautiful walks straight out of the front door. A particularly nice touch was the bag of monkey nuts that was provided – we put some out on the feeders opposite the front door and were almost immediately rewarded with the sight of a red squirrel coming to eat them. This was our second trip to Ruggles and we’ll almost certainly be coming again. "

Lovely and quiet house, but easy walk into Pitlochry. Plenty of cafes and restaurants, can recommend the Golf Club, Escape Route Cafe (lovely Cullen Skink with a huge sandwich) & the Coffee Break (all very dog friendly), lovely view from the Boat House Cafe overlooking Loch Faskally {dogs outside only). Hi Bea, We had a wonderful time at the Bank. We instantly relaxed the moment we walked through the door! We were very impressed by the home comforts, interior design and high standard of finish. The Bank is also really well-equipped, we wanted for nothing. Location wise it's perfect, a peaceful village feel but close to the A9 to access farther afield quickly and easily. All in all a fantastic visit and we wished we could have stayed longer!

The cottage was lovely the pictures especially of the garden don’t do it justice. Very clean and kitchen well stocked if you wanted to eat in. Great location right out of cottage and you are in the woods and fields, turn left and 10 minute amble into town. If you have dogs it’s great for walks and the cottage is very dog friendly ours loved the sun room to relax after a long day walking. Will definitely be going back and recommending to family and friends.

The cottage is very comfortable and well appointed. We felt at home right away. It was just right for us and our dogs who loved the garden. Fridge and laundry facilities in the garage were great.
