Pitlochry has two famous whisky distilleries which attract many visitors: Bell's Blair Atholl Distillery and Edradour Distillery, Scotland's smallest distillery. Pitlochry Hydro Power Station, Dam and newly opened visitor centre and cafe are well worth a visit. The pretty town of Blair Atholl ( 7 miles north of Pitlochry) sits at the southern gateway of the Cairngorms National Park and is home to Blair Castle, ancient seat of the Dukes of Atholl. Pitlochry`s central location means guests are perfectly placed for exploring the wild beauty of Loch Tummel and Loch Rannoch, while Edinburgh and Glasgow are both within easy reach for a day out.

Guest Reviews

Lovely location, very comfortable and well fitted out with everything you might need. It is somewhere you can relax surrounded by beautiful items such as a piano which makes it feel very much like a home rather than a business
Great cottage and so well equipped. We had everything we needed. Great that we could walk into the town too. Would recommend to others. Julie, Simon, Daniel and Luke.
I wanted to write to let you know that we had a lovely relaxing stay at By the Brae in Pitlochry. The cottage was ideal for our family and equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and it was situated in a great location. We will definitely return. It really was home from home.
