The new driving route around the Heart of Scotland - 200 miles of roads with history, myth and adventure through majestic landscape.
The Heart200 route is from Stirling in the South to Blair Atholl in the North. About 60% of the route is in Perthshire so all our holiday cottages are perfect for starting to enjoy small bites of the route.
Highpoints of the route include Loch Leven Castle where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned on an island, Scone Palace where Scottish kings were crowned, Dunkeld where Macbeth's Birnam Oak still stands and the ancient Yew at Fortingall, near Aberfeldy, Europe's oldest tree
The whole route would take more than a week to enjoy. Full route guide and merchandise will be available this Summer.
Our first visit to Otter Lodge but hopefully not our last. Everything provided you could possibly need. Not our first visit to Parc Royale so know the area quite well and can definitely recommend Otter Lodge and the Parc. Ideally based to travel to different areas of Scotland. What a beautiful property in an absolutely stunning location ! We booked the property for a working trip in the area and really appreciated the cleanliness & comfort of Croftinloan. This is a very stylish yet cosy holiday home, with everything you could possibly need at hand. The peacefulness and beauty of the location was just what we needed to relax in the evenings- our only regret was that we did not have more time to enjoy the incredible garden which is beautifully landscaped and very usable ! we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and do hope to return again.

“Beautiful and isolated house tucked away in woodlands with a delightful burn running past. The house is airy and spacious with all amenities. Easy to walk to Ben Lawers hotel for good food and down to the loch for a swim and up into the Ben Lawers range for serious hiking. Absolutely splendid.”
