Route Heart 200

May

The new driving route around the Heart of Scotland - 200 miles of roads with history, myth and adventure through majestic landscape.

The Heart200 route is from Stirling in the South to Blair Atholl in the North. About 60% of the route is in Perthshire so all our holiday cottages are perfect for starting to enjoy small bites of the route.

Highpoints of the route include Loch Leven Castle where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned on an island, Scone Palace where Scottish kings were crowned, Dunkeld where Macbeth's Birnam Oak still stands and the ancient Yew at Fortingall, near Aberfeldy, Europe's oldest tree

The whole route would take more than a week to enjoy. Full route guide and merchandise will be available this Summer.

Hi Bea,just wanted to say I had a brilliant time at cottage at the end of September, wish I could of stayed longer.Lovely cozy cottage had everything I wanted and more hope to stay again.Just great to have so many lovely walks from the cottage and Birnam is great for shops got local honey from post office, pizza takeaway from Birnam Inn and the fabulous Brownies from Little Birnam kitchen delivered to the door. Dunkeld is also great for food and shops and sitting by the river in the church grounds with carry out coffee and sandwiches. It felt like a complete escape from everything that is going at moment a real gem, many thanks

Our third visit to Lettoch Beag was as satisfying as always. Lovely accommodation and warm hospitality from Kirsty and Steve. We went to an event at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre Winter Words Festival. We’ve always loved going there but Alan Cumming’s programming and involvement is transforming the place.

Thanks very much for a great stay! We had a great time. Perfect cottage- right in between the golf course and the town. Had a great week at the Highland golf.
