We absolutely loved the cottage and already plan to return again next year.
This was a fantastic place , Auld Smiddy Cottage! The five of us all give it very high marks. The location was super, walking distance to Pitlochry. However, quieter than being closer to town. All the rooms are very well appointed. We did not lack for anything, in the public rooms as well as the bedrooms. Had we stayed longer we would have taken advantage of the lovely back garden area. All in all I highly recommend this wonderful cottage.
Comfortable well appointed cottage. Adjoins the Moulin Inn which is a pleasant bareatery. We worried about this making the cottage noisy but this was not the case. Conveniently placed for facilities in Pitlochry and local walks. Ann
You won’t be disappointed. Gorgeous cottage and outdoor space. Well equipped and cosy. Will definitely be going back. Joan and friends
Nice house, in a fantastic location for taking advantage of all that Moulin, Pitlochry, and the surrounding area has to offer
Excellent property in a great location and just the right size for six adults and a dog. Great base for exploring Pitlochry and the surrounding area.
Beautiful, cosy cottage. We loved the location next to the Inn/Pub. The walk into town was nice and didn’t take too long. The walk back up was a little harder :) Loved our stay and wish we’d stayed longer.
Very clean and comfortable house with an interesting history. . well equipped and nicely decorated. 2 bathrooms, one with an over- the- bath shower, the other with a walk-in shower. Dishwasher and washing machine. Nice outside space with picnic bench and a wee burn at the end of the garden. . 1 mile up the hill from Pitlochry town with easy parking just over the road in the local square. Food available in the pub next door.
This is a lovely well appointed cottage beside the peaceful and friendly Moulin Hotel. Great place to stay
Smiddy Cottage was exactly what we needed when we needed it. Everything worked perfectly. Many thanks, David
Lovely cottage and the sun room was a delight, opening into the garden in the sunshine. It’s really cosy and in an ideal location, central with a charming pub next door. We would highly recommend it.
Lovely cottage- had a great stay loved it. Elaine, Catherine, Murdo & Lesley
Fantastic accommodation and a brilliant day. Beautiful, beautiful countryside- scenery to die for, a walker`s paradise! A beautiful, peaceful and serene location. Open fire, liquid refreshments and grand company. A once in a life time experience and memories to hold dear for always. Thank you very much. Greg & Mary, Australia
Yet another enjoyable stay in our favourite cottage. Usual BBQ, walks etc. Craigower Hill does not seem to get any lower!! Ben Vrakie a bridge too far! About to leave, but already looking forward to next year. Brian, Susan, Kate, Lloyd & Cardine, Edinburgh & London
We have had a lovely week walking through the Scottish countryside with our French friends and eating/drinking in lovely Scottish pubs. Well- equipped when we have wanted to dine at home, warm and comfortable and well located. Many thanks, Owen family
We have had a lovely stay here thank you. The cottage is in a lovely location and we enjoyed sitting out on the decking in the late afternoon sunshine having been out all day wondering the hills with our two dogs. The cottage is cosy and warm and facilities good. Hope we will be back. Julie & Phil
What a lovely cottage, very comfortable and homely, log fire was a great bonus. Ideal location next door to the pub. Meals and staff were excellent.
