One of the great joys of a cottage holiday is the freedom it offers — and that includes bringing your dog along too! There’s no need to leave your four-legged friend behind in kennels when they can join in the adventure.

Highland Perthshire is a dog’s paradise, with endless opportunities for walking, swimming, and exploring. From peaceful woodlands and scenic hill trails to open countryside and lochside strolls, there's something to get every tail wagging.

Many of our cottages are pet-friendly and perfectly located for dog lovers. After a day of outdoor fun, your pup can curl up beside a roaring fire — tired, happy, and dreaming of tomorrow’s rabbits.

What’s more, you’ll find plenty of dog-friendly cafés and restaurants throughout Perthshire, so no one gets left out at mealtimes.

Canine Health & Happiness

Enjoy a fun and safe holiday experience with your four legged friend in Perthshire.

When out and about, always make sure to pop them on a leash when another dog approaches or engage the owners to check what they and their dog are comfortable with.

Town centre parks and recreational grounds are the perfect spots - flat and wide - for your four-ledded friend to burn off breakfast, lunch or dinner.

They are also a great place to asks locals where to buy replacement collars or leashes, shampoo, brushes, water bowls or the best gravy bones! As they can be very social places at times, it's best to avoid these spaces if your dog prefers it's own company.

If you forget to pack your dog's medication or your stock begins to run low, or in the rare case of an accident or medical emergency, we recommend contacting Heartland Veterinary Services, in Pitlochry.

Seek reassurance and your access rights from the Access Scotland website for a range of helpful and practical advice and guidance.

We know dog's aren't just pets, they are family. Holidays should be the perfect time to spend uninterrupted time with them. And when you're away from home, there is something very special about sharing your holiday experiences with your canine companion.

A lovely stay in a charming cottage. Can recommend Cluny House Gardens to see the red squirrels up close and almost sitting on your feet, need to be the between 9 and 10 for feeding time. St. Andrews is incredible. Balmoral a must, and Aviemore and cairngorm mountain railway, expensive but SO worth it.

Nice house, in a fantastic location for taking advantage of all that Moulin, Pitlochry, and the surrounding area has to offer

Hi Bea and team. We had a wonderful time in Blair Atholl, enjoying walks along the riverbanks and the surrounding countryside. The hospitality we received in the village was first class and The Bank was the perfect place to stay - comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Many thanks
