The new year dancing and music on the main street on New year’s day is always fun. Great restaurants and bars near at hand always have a wonderful atmosphere. "

Ruggles Cottage

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ruggles over the New Year period. The house is very cosy in the cold Scottish winter, and plenty of logs and coal were provided so that we could keep the fire going whenever we were at home. The beds were very comfortable and the showers in both bathrooms worked very well. The kitchen was well provisioned for making meals. The location of Ruggles is stunning with some beautiful walks straight out of the front door. A particularly nice touch was the bag of monkey nuts that was provided – we put some out on the feeders opposite the front door and were almost immediately rewarded with the sight of a red squirrel coming to eat them. This was our second trip to Ruggles and we’ll almost certainly be coming again. "

Lovely and quiet house, but easy walk into Pitlochry. Plenty of cafes and restaurants, can recommend the Golf Club, Escape Route Cafe (lovely Cullen Skink with a huge sandwich) & the Coffee Break (all very dog friendly), lovely view from the Boat House Cafe overlooking Loch Faskally {dogs outside only). "We had a lovely stay in this well-maintained, peaceful home. The house is fairly new and offers a lot of convenience, from the ease of using the heating to the ample amenities, including a large fridge-freezer and plenty of towels for both the bathroom and kitchen. We especially appreciated the quiet location, with its close proximity to town and the shortcut through the woods via the back gate. Parking was hassle-free, and the garage was available for storing bikes, which was a nice touch once we located the keys. We would stay again! "
