"This was a new destination for us, and what a find! We absolutely loved our stay and were really able to do some much-needed relaxing. The property is very well furnished, and the views are amazing - especially as the sun sets in the evening. Steve and Kirstie were fantastic hosts, re-assuringly available to answer any questions but not in any way intrusive. There are lots of beautiful walks both within easy driving distance and literally from the front door - ranging from quick evening strolls to big climbs and all really well detailed in the information pack. Would definitely recommend this property and definitely hope to return soon! "

"This is the most relaxing week we have had in a long time and simply sitting on the decking enjoying the views and the wildlife was a joy. Visits from the buzzards, deer and the little red squirrel only enhanced the enjoyment. We have to admit we were a little concerned regarding how we might be received by the local residents of Pitlochry and Blair Atholl, but the usual warm welcome awaited us. As ever the many cafes and restaurants were busy but well organised in terms of social distancing etc., and again the quality of service was superb. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hollyhock Cottage, it is exactly how it looks and is described on the website.  It is in the ideal location for accessing all of the local walks and beauty spots without the need to drive.  The local facilities in Birnam are brilliant and thanks to the info in the folder we discovered the takeaway pizzas at the Inn and the Facebook post led us to the Chattan Tea rooms where we had lunch and coffees and scones! A great base for exploring Pitlochry - everything walkable and a real bonus for us were the woods at the back of the house - perfect for walking the dogs and peaceful

Very clean and comfortable house with an interesting history. . well equipped and nicely decorated. 2 bathrooms, one with an over- the- bath shower, the other with a walk-in shower. Dishwasher and washing machine. Nice outside space with picnic bench and a wee burn at the end of the garden. . 1 mile up the hill from Pitlochry town with easy parking just over the road in the local square. Food available in the pub next door.

The garden is a brilliant asset, we loved spending time in it as did our dog. It's very private too and not overlooked. The house was spotlessly clean and there was a hoover, mop etc that we could use throughout our stay.
